1991
Agricultural Advisory Service (AAS) established
After the Homeland War in 1991, the Agricultural Advisory Service (AAS) was established. Since then, in the last 24 years, the Service has undergone several organizational and status changes.
1994
The Agricultural Advisory Service Sector was established at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry
In 1994, by decision of the Government of the Republic of Croatia, the Agricultural Advisory Service Sector was established at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, which represented a significant positive step forward in terms of employee organization.
1997
The Croatian Institute for Agricultural Advisory Service (HZPSS) was established
For a total of 87 employees of the Service throughout Croatia, it was a great challenge to create a new institution, adopt the necessary regulations (regulation, statute, rulebooks), register and organize the system.
2010
HZPSS joins the Croatian Chamber of Agriculture
Based on certain examples and recommendations, HZPSS joins the Croatian Chamber of Agriculture in 2010, which was founded earlier in February 2009. After two years, due to various operational reasons.
2012
The Agricultural Advisory Service (AAS) is independent again
After two years, due to various operational reasons, the Advisory Service separates from the Croatian Chamber of Agriculture and becomes an independent institution again. This re-independence of the Agricultural Advisory Service (AAS) is defined by the 2012 Agricultural Advisory Service Act.
2013
The Service changes its name to the Advisory Service and merges with the Forestry Advisory Service
In 2013, the Act on Amendments to the Agricultural Advisory Service Act was passed. One of the most significant changes in the amendments to the Act was the merger of the employees of the former Forestry Advisory Service. In addition to the above, the Service changes its name to the Advisory Service as a specialized public institution for performing advisory activities in agriculture, rural development, fisheries and forestry.
2018
The Croatian Parliament adopted the Act on the Croatian Agricultural and Forestry Advisory Service (HPŠSS)
The Act on the Croatian Agricultural and Forestry Advisory Service (HPŠSS) was adopted by the Croatian Parliament at its session on 2 February 2018. The Act was published in the Official Gazette, No. 15 of 14 February 2018, and entered into force on 22 February 2018. The Croatian Agricultural and Forestry Advisory Service, in accordance with Article 12, paragraph 1 of Regulation (EU) No. 1306/2013, manages the system of advising users on land management and farm management.
